At the ACF2016 international conference, several organisations are authorised to form special sessions to create active presentattion & discussion space on their specific subjects, for their exclusive presenters & audience.

PROVISIONAL SCHEDULE

SPECIAL SESSION OF JCI-KCI JOINT SESSION FOR FIRE RESISTANCE CONCRETE

Japan and Korea Concrete Institute establish a specialized research committee to study the fire resistance design, material properties at elevated temperature and diagnosis of the fire damage of a concrete structures.

Research committee on performance evaluation of concrete in high temperature environment of Japan Concrete Institute is evaluating the spalling resistance performance of concrete and durability of concrete after the fire damage by research activity of two WG.

Research committee on fire resistance concrete of Korea Concrete Institute is conducting the development and application of fireproof construction method considering the stability and workability of high strength concrete.

In this 2016 ACF conference, the two committees is forming a special session to discuss the fire resistance of concrete and research collaboration.

SPECIAL SESSION OF PROFESSOR KIM

Professor Moohan Kim achieved his Master degree from Chungnam National University at Korea in 1970. After that, he earned the diploma of the building construction from the Bouwcentrum at Netherlands in 1973. Then he invited as a scholarship student of Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology-japan. He achieved his Doctor degree as the subject of “A study on the climatic conditions and the prevention of early frost damage in winter concreting” in 1978 from Hokkaido University at Japan.

Professor Kim also appointed Chungnam National University in 1972 and retired in 2008 after a tour of 36 years. He received the Order from the Korean government in 2008, because of his active research achievements in building materials and construction sector not only Korea but also overseas academic community.
